Position: Head of Business Analytics department

Division: Consumer Health

Position purpose:

The Head of Business Analytics department is responsible for the strategic consulting of the Head of Country Cluster and senior management team via setting up the high level of business analysis standards. All this ensures efficient, pragmatic and fact-based decision taking process in order to develop the Cluster in the right direction and set up proper priorities & KPIs for the teams. Provides direction and leadership to CH Business Analytics team. The role is a point of contact to the market and business analysis for Global Analytics colleagues and guarantees the definition and implementation of innovative analysis tools both on local basis & HQ driven.


  • Leads and directs the Business Analytics department. Provides strong organizational leadership to the team by implementing appropriate organization structure and policies for effective execution; prioritizing resources and project investment to maximize return; and developing organization strength, staff coaching and performance management. Ensure the guidance, coordination, and supervision of his / her team, through the identification of the organizational structure, the short, mid and long-term goals, monitoring and assessing results, competencies, training and coaching, with a view to maintain high motivation, the achievement of the set objectives and continuous development.
  • Business Partner: Leads the CH Business Analytics team, acting as a value-added business partner with senior executives to drive sustainable business growth and to improve cost efficiency of operating processes in Russia. Provides strong strategy leadership to support the Top Management by mastering best practices for continuous execution excellence in general and business analysis in particular; setting passionate but realistic objectives and action plans.
  • Planning & forecasting process. One of the key participants of the standardized planning & forecasting process, supports the entire organization to go across the business planning. Provides a disciplined, standardized framework to support the achievement of sales & financial KPIs on all the levels. Supports the daily customer analysis process, operational planning per customer and makes sure the high level planning, driven by the demand planning team is being properly translated into the clients operational planning. Support the business analysis tasks of the customers in al the channels: commercial, pharmacy chains, e-commerce, mass market. Support the cultural change of the planning process to move from the “stock & target” based planning, to the “unconstrained demand & consumption” way of thinking and decision taking.
  • Business performance measurement. Develops a system of KPIs, based on the local market data, aligned for sales force, marketing, trade marketing, pharmacy chains and commercial departments, in order to measure the team’s performance and motivate for the Russia targets achievement. Participates in preparation of sales incentive scheme for the teams. Controls, monitors and measures the business performance within the Cluster Russia, Ukraine & CIS against the short- & long-term plans and interprets the organization’s operating results. Ensures the maximum transparency of the data to make sure the same type & content of the data is used in every layer of the organization; Prepares customer’s development analysis, performance & profitability tracking to ensure solid foundation for the divisional Trade Terms strategy in Russia;
  • Dashboard & IT solutions. Maintains & develops the dashboard reporting within the Cluster Russia, Ukraine & CIS. Ensures that dashboard reporting is, on one hand, created on the solid IT infrastructure to keep the business continuity & data safety, on the other hand, fully responds to the data requirements of the organization. Regularly checks with the organization for the updates & new needs for the reporting and make follow-ups on these needs, when required. Ensures, that dashboard reporting fully corresponds to the audit standards of the data transparency, correctness & availability for the users; Leads the data management optimization leveraging and improving IT enablers letting the whole cluster to better collect market information with the goal to develop better insights.
  • Develops the right team spirit and culture within the department. Defines together with the team the department’s mission and vision. Makes sure the LIFE values and F2W principles are properly implemented in the daily work style of the team. Fosters employee’s engagement, proactivity, “can do” attitude, positive acceptance & drive of the changes and winning spirit with best in class Business Analytics. Creates an organization and communication flow in the region, to be able to realize maximum synergies, cross learnings, insights and efficiencies, taking into account the local market & organization peculiarities and best practices.

Important for us:

  • University education in Mathematics, Finance or Business discipline (preferably MBA) with professional qualification on strategic management. Over 7 years relevant working experience in Business Analytics, Controlling and/or Audit areas with minimum 5 years people management experience.
  • Excellent business acumen of the market and commercial knowledge. Strategic thinking, able to paint and see big picture.
  • Can work independently under pressure and capable of delivering commitment.
  • Strength in problem solving, ability to handle multiple and complex tasks simultaneously, to set priorities and allocate resources as required and influence results.
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills, able to persuade and influence others through personal credibility and assertiveness.
  • Ability to plan, develop, influence and coordinate cross-functional projects and teams.
  • Strong personal leadership and cross cultural experience, since candidate will need to closely collaborate on a regional and global levels.

  • Ability to work in high competitive culture & under pressure. Ability to handle multiple and complex tasks simultaneously, to set priorities & allocate resources as needed to influence & achieve results.
  • English – fluent, both oral and written.
